🎡 About the Wheel Spinner
How does the spin the wheel work?
Our wheel spinner uses cryptographically secure random number generation (the same used in security applications) to ensure completely fair results. When you click spin, a random winner is selected first, then the wheel animation shows the result. Each entry has an exactly equal chance of winning.
Is spin the wheel rigged?
Absolutely not! Our random wheel picker uses the Web Crypto API which provides true randomness. Unlike some wheel spinners that can be manipulated, our algorithm ensures every entry has a perfectly equal chance. The visual spin is purely for entertainment - the result is determined by cryptographic randomness.
What is a random wheel picker?
A random wheel picker (also called wheel spinner, wheel of names, or decision wheel) is a tool that randomly selects one option from a list. You add entries to the wheel, spin it, and it randomly picks a winner. It's commonly used for giveaways, classroom activities, games, and making random decisions.
Can I use this for giveaways?
Yes! Our wheel spinner is perfect for giveaways and contests. Add all participant names, spin the wheel, and get a truly random winner. Many YouTubers, streamers, and businesses use wheel spinners for fair giveaway selection. You can even enable "remove winner" to pick multiple unique winners.
⚙️ Features & Usage
How do I add entries to the wheel?
Type your entry in the text box and press Enter or click the + button. You can add names, options, numbers, or any text you want. Use the preset buttons for common options like Yes/No, numbers 1-10, or weekdays. Your entries are saved automatically in your browser.
Can I save my wheel?
Yes! Your wheel entries are automatically saved in your browser's local storage. When you return to the page, your last wheel will still be there. You can bookmark the page to easily access your custom wheel anytime.
What does "Remove winner after spin" do?
When enabled, the winning entry is automatically removed from the wheel after each spin. This is useful for: picking multiple unique winners, elimination games, assigning tasks without repetition, or tournament-style brackets.
How many entries can I add?
You can add up to 50 entries to the wheel. The wheel automatically adjusts segment sizes to fit all entries. For best readability, we recommend 2-20 entries. With more entries, the text becomes smaller but remains functional.

🔧 Technical
Does this work offline?
Yes! Once the page loads, the wheel spinner works completely offline. All random generation happens in your browser - no internet connection needed. Your entries are also stored locally, so they persist even when offline.
Is my data private?
Completely! Everything happens in your browser. We don't collect, store, or transmit any of your wheel entries. Your data stays on your device. This makes it safe for use with sensitive information like employee names or confidential options.
How is randomness generated?
We use the Web Crypto API's getRandomValues() function, which provides cryptographically secure pseudo-random numbers. This is the same level of randomness used in encryption and security applications - far superior to basic Math.random() used by lesser wheel spinners.
